L'Atelier is proud to announce die Quadratur des Kreises, an exhibition of the swiss artist Valentina Pini (lives and works in Geneva) featuring new works on paper and sculpture. An in situ installation will welcome a resonant performance during the opening reception, by fellow artists Johnny Haway and H. Coal, wood and metals through drawings, sculptures and installations, are the predilection mediums in the artist's production. To the formal qualities of these materials, the artist adds the craftsmanship, texture and composition, performing her own alchemy to those experiments. Valentina Pini's art works, often minimalist in nature, slightly illusionistic and geometrical, are often characterized by an alteration of the material. These modifications lend themselves perfectly to help giving a misleading appearance.
