Laura Gianetti was born in Livorno (Italy) in 1980.
She studied Natural Sciences at Pisa University and received a painting BFA at Fine Arts Academy in Rome in 2008 with the graduation thesis “The heretical photography”.
Laura Gianetti works with photography, painting, drawings, videos and installations focusing often her attention on the interaction existing between human social behaviour and nature.
She shows in galleries and museums like among others Palazzo delle Esposizioni, the Museo Hendrik C. Andersen (Galleria Nazionale D’Arte Moderna), Complesso Monumentale Sant’Andrea al Quirinale in Rome, Grimmuseum in Berlin, Galleria d’Arte Moderna alle Ciminiere in Catania (Premio Nazionale delle Arti) and the Ancienne Quincaillerie van AA in Brussels, where she received the grant as the Best Artist under 35 years.
Her works are published in magazines, newspapers, books, CDs, vinyl records and music videos. She collaborated among others with Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Bpigs, Node Center for Curatorial Studies, CTM Festival, Grimmuseum, Factory Art, Month of Performance Art in Berlin, Sonic Acts Festival in Amsterdam, Spot U Art in Brussels and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Roskilde.
She actually lives between Berlin and Rome where she is working as visual artist and photoreporter for musical and artistic events.
