Orogenesi nasce dall’osservazione delle analogie tra i processi di trasformazione della Terra e quelli del corpo umano. Prendendo ispirazione dalla frammentazione della Pangea e dalla deriva dei continenti, il progetto mette in relazione il tempo geologico e quello umano attraverso il linguaggio fotografico. Il volto si trasforma in un paesaggio in continua evoluzione, suggerendo una comune appartenenza alla stessa materia e agli stessi cicli di trasformazione.
Orogenesis stems from the observation of the analogies between the transformative processes of the Earth and those of the human body. Inspired by the fragmentation of Pangaea and continental drift, the project connects geological and human time through the language of photography. The face transforms into an ever-evolving landscape, evoking the shared materiality of the Earth and the human body, shaped by the same cycles of transformation.
